The Ideal Brief
Privacy.
We collect the minimum we need to make the product work. Plain English, no dark patterns.
What we collect
- Your email — to send the magic-link sign-in. Never sold, never used for marketing.
- Contributor emails you invite — to send them the one-shot magic link for answering. They become a row only if they accept.
- The text you and your contributors type — answers, project names, brief synthesis output. Held in your workspace and visible to its members.
- Sign-off metadata — who signed, when, which brief version. Part of the audit trail.
What we don't
No third-party trackers. No ad networks. No selling data to anyone, ever. Server logs from Vercel and Supabase exist for operational debugging and roll off on their normal retention schedules.
AI processing
Brief synthesis runs server-side via Anthropic. Contributor answers and project metadata are sent to Anthropic to generate the structured brief. Anthropic does not train on this data.
Delete your data
Email hi@idealbrief.com and we'll delete your account and everything in your workspace within 7 days. A self-serve delete button is on the v1.1 roadmap.
